Bagyong Juaning PAGASA Update July 26, 11 p.m.

At 10:00 p.m. today, Tropical Storm "JUANING" has intensified further and slowed down as it continues to threaten Southern and Central Luzon including Metro Manila.

Tropical Storm "Juaning" is estimated based on satellite and surface data at 70 km North Northwest of Daet, Camarines Norte (14.6deg;N, 122.7deg;E) with maximum sustained winds of 85 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 100 kph.

Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said that Tropical Storm "Juaning" is moving West Northwest at 11 kph.

On Wednesday morning, Tropical Storm "Juaning" is expected to make landfall over Polillo Island City and will traverse Central Luzon. While on Wednesday evening, it is estimated to be in the vicinity of Dagupan City.

On Thursday evening, weather forecast shows that it will be at 375 km West Northwest of Laoag City.

Residents in low lying and mountainous areas under signals no. 2 & no. 1 are alerted against possible flashfloods and landslides. Likewise, those living in coastal areas are alerted against big waves or storm surges generated by this tropical cyclone.

Tropical Storm "Juaning" will enhance the Southwest Monsoon and will bring widespread rains over the Rest of Luzon and Western Visayas.
