Chokoleit charged with Libel case for insulting Cristy Fermin

Judge Evangeline Marigomen of Regional Trial Court Branch 101 charged the Actor-comedian Chokoleit with libel case. This is after Chokoleit insulted Cristy Fermin, a showbiz commentator in his twitter account at chOkOLeit2010.


Michael Millora, Assistant City Prosecutor recommended the libel case after Chokoleit failed to submit his counter-affidavit to Cristy Fermin's complaint.


Reports said that it started with series of tweets from Chokoleit. At first, Cristy Fermin just ignored them. However, Chokoleit continued to post maligned messages directly mentioning her name. As quoted from one of Chokoleit's tweets, he said:

"magbyad ka ng utang mo Shrekty Fermin kapal ng mukha mo!! Mas panget ka! Sinungaling! Kadiri ka. Baho ng mukha mo! Estafadora!"
