May 2, 2011 Holiday or not - in the Philippines?

Citizens from different sectors in education and government are asking if May 2, 2011 (Monday) will be holiday in the Philippines or not. This is after employees expected that the May 1, 2011 holiday (Labor Day) will be transferred to the nearest Monday.

May 2, 2011 is not declared as holiday.

Reports said that the Labor Day will be celebrated on its date, May 1, 2011 (Sunday) which was then supported and clarified by Edwin Lacierda, Presidential spokesman.
