McCain hobbits comments to a tea party-backed Republicans on Wednesday earns frustrations and negative criticisms from public.
Sen. John McCain's harsh words began when he reacts to a Wall Street Journal editorial about the US Tea Party element who are demanding a vote on a balanced budget amendment before they will vote to raise the debt limit.
"The Republican House that failed to raise the debt ceiling would somehow escape all blame. Then Democrats would have no choice but to pass a balanced-budget amendment and reform entitlements, and the tea-party Hobbits could return to Middle Earth having defeated Mordor." the Arizona Republican Senator said.
When confronted and asked for an apology by his constituents during last Monday's town hall meeting, McCain said, "I am sorry if I was misunderstood. But I am not sorry for what I said. Why should I if it was a fact?"
