Sugarfree has Disbanded - Ebe wants to be Solo

Sugarfree band officially bid their goodbye in the concert entitled "Paalam Pilipinas" held at Eastwood City in Libis, Quezon City on March 1, 2011. As to the reason why Sugarfree band has to be disbanded, a recent circulating rumors said that Ebe, the lead vocal planned to focus on his career as solo.

In their official twitter account @Wearesugarfree, couple of consecutive posts said that they will be having a farewell concert but after that, their music will still be alive in the hearts and minds of their fans.

10 hours from now, Sugarfree takes the stage for the very last time. Eastwood Cental Plaza 8pm. Admission is free. We really hope to see everyone there

The late Sugarfree band members include Ebe Dancel - a vocalist and guitarist, Kaka Quisumbing (drums) and Jal Taguibao (bass and back-up vocals). They composed and sang popular rock songs under the 5 albums all under Polyeast Records. Among the songs that instilled to Philippine music are Telepono, Mariposa, Burnout, Taguan, Sinta, Hari ng Sablay, Kwarto, Batang bata ka pa, Hang over, among others.

Their band was also behind the ABS-CBN News and Current Affairs MTV for the 2010 Presidential Elections entitled "Ako ang Simula".
