Parliament is the supreme legislative body of a country. Our Parliament comprises of the President and the two Houses—

Lok Sabha is the body of representatives of the people.
Its members are directly elected
The present membership of Lok Sabha is 545.
The number is divided among the different States and Union Territories as follows:

As we have seen that states do not have equal representation, thus do you think it will affect the benefits, policy making of central government?
More members in lower house mean more benefits to that particular state.
Thus India needs to reform this and bring some type of equality among the states in lower house.
