Typhoon Kabayan Update as of July 28, 2011

Typhoon Kabayan Update: After the exit of the typhoon Juaning, another tropical cyclone has entered the Philippines . As of 5:00 PM, July 28 2011, PAGASA said that the tropical depression in the East of Visayas has entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and intensified into a tropical storm and was named "KABAYAN" (with international name MUIFA). It's center as of 4:00 PM is located at 1,000 km East Southeast of Catarman, Northern Samar. Kabayan has a maximum sustained winds of 65 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 80 kph. According to the weather bureau, Kabayan is moving Northwest at 15 kph.


As predicted by PAGASA, Kabayan will be at 790 km East Northeast of Catarman, Northern Samar at Friday afternoon, 710 km Northeast Virac, Catanduanes at Saturday afternoon and 800 km East Northeast of Tuguegarao City on Sunday.

Meanwhile, PAGASA is not yet releasing any storm warning signals.

Typhing Juaning Update July 28, 2011 as of 5:00 AM

Typhoon Juaning Update: as of 5:00 AM dated July 28, 2011, Tropical Storm "JUANING" has slightly re-intensified while over the West Philippine Sea, according to PAGASA. as of 4:00 am, the location of its center is located 240 km West Southwest of Laoag City. Juaning has now maximum winds of 95 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 120 kph.Juaning is moving West Northwest at 22 kph.


As predicted by PAGASA, typhoon "Juaning" (Nock Ten) is expected to be out of the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) between 8 am to 10 am on Thursday morning, 440 km West of Laoag City on Thursday afternoon and 680 km West of Laoag City or at 350 km Southeast of Hainan, China on Friday morning

Typhoon Chedeng Update: 5:00 PM May 25, 2011 and Signal Warning - PAGASA (Picture)

Typhoon update as of 5:00 PM, May 25, 2011: The typhoon Chedeng (with the international codename Songda) has accelerated as it maintained its strength, PAGASA reported. Chedeng has a maximum sustained winds of 130 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 160 kilometer per hour.


Chedeng is 310 km East of Catarman, Northern Samar or 12.8°N and 127.7°E.

As of 5:00 PM today, signal number 2 with winds of 61 to 100 kilometers per hour (kph) was raised to the following provinces (Sorsogon, Albay, Camarines Sur and Camarines Norte) while signal number 1 with 45 to 60 kph was recorded to Marinduque, Masbate, Burias, Ticao Islands, Quezon, Polilio Island and Aurora.

The next weather update for the Typhoon Chedeng will be released at 11:00 PM today.

Typhoon Chedeng: Bagyong Chedeng PAGASA latest weather update as of May 25, 2011 , Signal Warning

"Bagyong Chedeng" or the tropical storm Chedeng maintained its intensity and continuously slowing down as it is currently 20 kilometers East of Catarman, Northern Samar.

"Chedeng" has intensified into a typhoon as it remained almost stationary.

According to the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) current weather update as of 11 AM Wednesday May 25, 2011, Typhoon Chedeng has maximum sustained winds of 130 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 160 kph.

As of Thursday morning, Chedeng is reported to be at 160 km East of Virac, Catanduanes, on Friday morning, records shown that it was 120 km Southeast of Casiguran, Aurora while on Saturday morning, it was 40 km Northeast of Aparri, Cagayan.

Signal warnings were raised by PAGASA to these provinces:

Sorsogon
Albay
Camarines Sur
Camarines Norte

Signal No. 1 (45-60 kilometers per hour winds
Marinduque
Masbate
Burias Island
Ticao Island
Southern Quezon

Meanwhile, PAGASA also released the images of the possible track of Bagyong Chedeng.

PAGASA warned the residents specially those from dangerous areas to be alerted with possible landslides and flash floods. As quoted from their website,

Those living in coastal areas are alerted against big waves or storm surges generated by this tropical cyclone.

TS "Chedeng" is expected to enhance the southwest monsoon and will bring rains over Visayas and Mindanao.
