“Super” Senior Citizens on “Patrol Ng Pilipino”

Old age is usually associated with slowing down. But for some Filipino senior citizens, getting older is not a reason to stop trying out new things and leading active lifestyles.

At the age of 67, Lola Techie of the famous TV commercials for an internet service provider still finds time to play badminton despite her hectic schedule.

Sixty-two year old Lolo Luis, on the other hand, attends taekwondo classes with his grandchildren. Oscar M. Lopez, the chairman of the Lopez Group of Companies and ABS-CBN Chairman Eugenio “Gabby” Lopez III’s uncle, is also strong for his age of 81 years old.

Recently, Oscar climbed the summit of Mount Kinabalu, the highest mountain in Malaysia.

Meanwhile, also watch for ABS-CBN correspondent Sol Aragones’ report on the alarming growth of dengue cases in Metro Manila. In Quezon City alone, 2,574 Filipinos have already been stricken of the deadly illness.

How can dengue be cured and why are people dying from this sickness? Hear the stories of those inflicted with dengue to learn how to avoid it on “Patrol ng Pilipino,” this Tuesday, August 16, after “Bandila” on ABS-CBN.
