The fans of the late Jamaican singer and songwriter Bob Marley is celebrating his 66th birthday this February 6, 2011 and partly declared this day as Bob Marley's concert day to remember his extraordinary music passion and style.
As discussed by some foreign entertainment sites, radio stations in western countries like United states, United Kingdom, Australia and Jamaica were playing his songs. There are also planned concerts to commemorate the late reggae artist.
As outlined by wiki, Bob Marley became known for his socially and politically themed music style. Among the songs that became popular in Jamaica and throughout the world are the songs incorporated in his compilation album entitled "Legend". "No Woman no cry", "I shot the Sheriff", "One Love" and "Jamming".
There are several concert celebrations to be held in different countries specifically dedicated to remember the reggae icon's music, as reported by some Bob Marley fan sites. In Australia, they will be having a concert entitled "Bob Marley Birthday Bash 2011" featuring Jahrukus, Chant Down , DJs Papa Dalton, Stick Mareebo and Sleepy Thumb at the Corner Hotel, 57 Swan St. Richmond, Melbourne, Victoria. Likewise, London fans also have their "Special Tribute to Bob Marley and Dennis Brown" featuring Lutan Fyah and Jah Mason with the Dub Akon Band. These are just two of the concerts being held simultaneously throughout the globe.
Ziggy Marley, son of Bob Marley also said through a note in his website (Ziggymarley.com) that his father will be having a new website to be released soon. The site will be visited in the same domain name but with several additional new features.
