Three Filipino citizens are set to be executed in Xiamen and Shenzhen, China on Monday and Tuesday for a drug trafficking case. Reports said that Ramon "Monchito" Credo, Sally Ordinario Villanueva, and Elizabeth Batain were convicted to be killed through death penalty execution.
According to local reports, Vice President Jejomar Binay together with DFA Undersecretary Esteban Conejos Jr. left the Philippines aboard Philippine Airlines (PAL) to talk with Chinese government officials and ask for clemency of the 3 convicted Filipino citizens.
Just recently, Chinese government turned down the plan of Philippines government officials to appeal for the scheduled death execution. However, they gave the go signal for Binay to visit China on Thursday.
Aside from requesting the Chinese government for clemency, they will also discuss about their alliance to destroy drug related crimes.
