How to change Financial Year in Tally :

If you have completed voucher entry for the last financial year and want to carry forward balances into new financial year. Just suppose you have done entries for the financial year 2007-2008 and want to start entries from 1-4-2009 means financial year 2009-2010. So after finishing entries
upto 31-3-2008. Tally won't accept entries of 1-4-2009. It will say while making voucher entry "Date above current period". To make voucher entry for 2009-2010 Gateway of Tally - Press Alt + F2 and Change Period From 1-4-2009 to 31-3-2010. Now Tally will accept voucher entry from 1-4-2009. After shifting to new financial year, you can any time go back to previous financial year by pressing alt + F2 at Gateway of Tally.
